I came across this boarderline backyard homemade engineered kit that lets you put a M112/M122 blower on a 5.0 with any GT40 type intake.... Now, is it me or in theory, wouldn't this also bolt onto a 5.8 with a 1st gen L lower GT40 intake?

I'd love to pick up a low mileage M122 off a GT500 for my bronco :toothless

One thing I found odd, on the fox bodies, they had to extend the snout to get the pulley to lineup, but he has a picture of this kit on a 5.0 explorer and it has no snout extension. Whats different between the explorer and fox body 5.0? :tinfoil I'd prefer not to have to use the snout extension and the ridiculously tall bracket....

explorer accessories are the shortest, with sn95 mustang following, and f150s are the longest accessory set.

for a bronco/f150 yes, just cant remember the difference, but shouldn't be to much longer than the fox body, i know the sn-95 is 7/16" longer than the explorer drive accessories, and pre -sn95 mustang is even longer, (1 to 1 1/2" longer )

trust me i know from experience when i used 91 f150 engine accessories on my 5.0 swap on my bronco ii, and i had to tuck the radiator(push it forward) to get it to fit and had no room, couldn't even fit the tuarus 2 speed fan between the engine and rad. and the same 5.0 with sn95 and explorer and engine mounts gave a ton of room without tucking the radiator.

well I guess that idea is out the window, cause I absolutely hate how the snout extension looks. It looks to ghetto for me


I guess that explains why the kenne bell's had such huge snouts!

Yes it is. But there are tons of manifolds on the market that flow better than the ford EFI stuff that come with precast injector bungs, all they need is to be drilled out. Hell, there are a handful of manifolds on the market with pre-drilled injector bungs. I know that if I ever decide to get a blower I'm doing it this way (if I can't find a Lightning specific Kenne Bell like Swat's).
