Ryan/Fireguy50's site is a good primer for this, specifically the page on EEC-IV and the page on injectors. He turned me on to the twEECer. Much less expensive, but is not user friendly, about $400. You can set-up 5 tunes/programs and can tweek them or update them wit engine mods. May cause headaches, frustration to do it yourselfer. I'm not sure I could use it. Poor manual.

Anyone seen this new from AEM: http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/Stores/AEM/Product There is also an article in latest 5.0 mag. Yours for only about $1500. You are paying for the user friendly nature of the thing. I did not get far past the cost, but it is supposed to be a do it yourselfer.

Diablo Sport 2 stage delta: $230 Chip with 2 settings - stock, and premium octane High performance. One 1 left unprogrammed for later.
Diablo Sport 3 stage delta: $322 Chip with 3 settings - stock, premium octane high performance, and one custom.
They burnthe chip for you. Chips have to go back through mail to get reprogrammed. Bummer, if it ain't right you got time, shipping, and perhaps a reprograming cost. May be least expensive if it's right the first time. You may have reprogramming cost later if you upgrade or change components. Performance management System from Andersen Ford Motorsport. $858 I don't know about user friendlyness and I did not get much past info. that makes it look to tune for high rpm mustang dragsters. Ryan concurred on this.

Not a complete listing nor review. Any other solutions you all know of to tune/program EEC-IV (eek4)? I'm not decided yet, but leaning toward the 3 stage chip for ease and cost. TwEECer would be cool if I can handle it. anyone out there with experience twEECering?

If you get the tweecer, I recommend the RT for dataloging. It's helpfull for short learing curve. You can record live data of your engine and look at it later for adjustments.

If you don't get the Tweecer and there is no one local to you then JMS Racing is the best mail order chip in the industry:

IT's not the technology, but the program, and JMS has the best programing skills in the mail order catagory.

Diablow is shaddy in my book. They do have dealers in the country, but they won't let the dealers make their ouwn judgment calls. Corpurate has to baby sit the tuning, makes me uncomfortable.

There are a handful of good tuners in the world, If I knew where you were located I could try and hunt one down.

I should probably explain my reasoning for disliking Diablo and why the others are good.
Mike Wesley was the inventor of AutoLogic Chip Master Software

That soft ware was the first successful software to re-program a Ford EEC computer. All the other companies copied his programming, and Ford Motor Company sued him for corporate espionage. Mike won the lawsuit, but retreated away from the public spot light. All the links I gave still use the original, the best, the unbeatable AutoLogic Chips. TwEECer does not use AutoLogic software, but is a close rival and has endless potential in the right persons hands.
Diablow, Superchip, and all the others just copy AutoLogic and don’t offer the quality programming the original offers

That's over $1000 :shocked
And it's not J3 plug in. J3 plug is the connector in the back of the computer. If your chip doesn't plug into that, it's not the best. The J3 port chips use the stock EFI programing with new values that match your curent engine. If it plugs between the computer and harness, it's tricking the computer and will have problems. Like I've said, it takes thousands of dollars to top a $350-$500 J3 chip.

Don't let them Lie to you Oscar. The thing they compaired agianst was not a J3 chip. It was a novelty item to extend the Red line w/ an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I haven't seen anybody make more power than with a TwEECer, and nobody can make it run as smooth.

No its was just for some fun to show it up I dont need more power I just need more control of Ignition when I put high octane gas on my Bronco when I floor it up hills engine overrew and does not upshift untill I control my gaspetal
