I have a 94 mustang ecm w4h0, pulled from an automatic gt. I have built a 5.0 with a ho cam, gt40 heads and explorer intake.
Question is, in the mustang ecm, can the transmission control be disabled in a tune to be used with an aod?
Or, if the ecm doesn't see a transmission, will the ecm ignor it and still run the engine as normal?
I also have the ecm from the explorer. it's obd2 eec-v sll3

well your lacking info. if this going into a mustang or a bronco? is the bronco had EFI swapped to MAF or stock EFI? a ECM can be tuned to disable the electronic trans but if your trying to put it in stock bronco EFI then your running into alot of other issues. the EEC-V computer is completely different and not usable

doesn't matter what it's going in. I might go in my 1986 2 door grand marquis or in my bronco. you can put an injected 5.0 in anything.
I know in the eec-v transmission control option can be set to manual. I cannot find an answer about the 94' eec-iv
I know it supports edis and e-fans.
It would be cool to have an 86' mercury with obd2, edis and ecm fan control.
