I installed a Holley Red electric fuel pump in my truck and the thing works great, but it makes a hell of a lot of noise from the location I mounted it. I insulated the mounting location with tons of rubber from an innertube, but it doesn't seem to help. I also rebuilt the pump and that didn't help. Has anyone else installed one of these pumps on their '78-79 rigs? Where did you mount it? I probably need to relocate mine.
I mounted mine on the driversside frame rail near the radius arm bracket. It makes a lot of noise... so what... at least you know it works when you can hear it humming away!
