these are the arms I have been using for the last few years. They are very strong, but do not match. the wristed arm was rebuilt from round tube, but aside from looking different they are the same length and both strong.

These 1x1 heims (with spacers put into the heim for a 3/4 bolt). Sitting on 1" B7 (IIRC) all thread (which I have some exra that will go with the arms becuase it is replaceable on the arms)

Im looking for 175 obo plus delivery.

Would it hurt that one is wristed and the other is not? Would the wristed one go on the passanger side? I am interested. I sent ya pm before I seen this thread. Can you get me a shipping quote to 72118 Business Address. I would like them I just don't know about them being different from each other look.

yea, agreed on the wristed stuff these days, but,

I'm looking at Plug's pic and wonder, should not be too difficult to make both solid, no more wrist/pin, should it? And the arms themselves look pretty long.

I dont recall how much longer than stock they are. Something like 8 to 10". To allow the wrist to work, you just pull the pin and let it pivot on the 1" bolt.

Daves issue was related to the wrist in part, but also to the fact that he hammered an 18" wide bogger into a HUGE rock with a lot of throttle. It was a combination of things that lead to his failure issues.

These arms are strong, but any arm is only as strong as the bolts that hold it to the axle. Daves drivers side arm was not very well reinforced when he had his issues.

I am still interested. I don't think that I can extend mine for that price. Still working out the finances. Do you have the Caps to them or is it just the arms.

I am going to pass. I can extend, heim, and plate mine for about $130. May not be as fancy as yours but it will work for me. Thanks for the help.

Ok since Lightnin has stepped down, I got a question. How do you feel about a package deal?? I have no equipment to fab up the mounts needed for these. Think you could put together the mounts and sell as a package?? I've got the caps, would just need the mounts to make them work.. I don't know if this would work since you may not have accsess to a 79 for fabbing purposes or the time.... Thanks---Fog

Well I have Factory Arms don't have to buy them, Heims are about $100 for 2 1" heims. $30 for the 3x3x1/4 Angle Iron. Already have the steel tube for the extentions. Bore it, tap it, weld it, box it, Don't seem to difficult.

How much difference is there in the frames between the 79 and later years??? Would the h bracket your talking about be good enough?? I'm not trying to second guess you, just looking for a no-bs opinion...Would this be how you would build it if the rig was there or should I look for a place to fab it here??? Fog
