a friend just bought a 93 f 150 5.0 to get it to start we had to put gas in the throttle body and it runs fine but if you turn it off you have to prime it again to restart. also after it warms up it idles realy high, ther is an electrical component in the drivers corner under the hood [as 1 conector and a throttle cable] that was not plugged in but it didnt change anything when we plugged it in. any ideas as to whats going on would be greatly appreciated.thanks.

The high idle is probably the IAC. I suppose that could also be the cause for the hard start too. Try cleaning it out and see if it makes a difference.
