Dif guard looks awesome. Lots better than the one I made. A trussed 8.8? Why?

I've been in the air more than once and the stock 8.8 in My bronco now is bent, just seemed like the logical think to do (besides swaping for a bigger axle) also gives me attachment points for a anti wrap bar I am working on!!

hmm with an 89 Bronco you could have gone D60, 9" or anything since you dont need VSS just seems like the 8.8 would be an illogical choice but it looks cool

problem is $$$$, Right now D60 or 10.25 means new rims, gears, etc, when the time comes to get bigger, I have a few Jeep buddies that would love to have the 8.8. and it's not costing me much to build this one, I do all my own work.

Just wondering about the 8.8. To each his own. Good Job on working with what you have to work with. Looking good.

****in' sweet dude. Love the creativity, the blend of form & function. It looks like a differential housing for Spiderman or something!

You get a cookie.

p.s. is that made of mild steel or stainless?

what are the dimensions on the base where it bolts to the cover? i am going to build on of my own and am thinking that it would be way easier to already have the dimensions rather than go get them myself. i know i am lazy, but what can i say. also, how tall is it from top to bottom? when it is laying flat? Thanks
