Looks like a good days start and a nice project. That white and flat black scheme might look pretty good. Keep us updated.

finally got to do some more work to the ol girl today started pulling the body off the frame to cleaan it up and redo the body mounts.

this is how she looked by the time i remembered to start takin pics

body half jacked up

good space and u can see how trashed my body mounts are

removed the front clip and finished lifting the body

front clip and yeller

and by thge end of the day i gots my rednek 4x4 body lift installed just needs to be trimmed to fit :toothless
no im not leaving it this way but the 4x4 are going to become the saw horses so i can roll the frame out from under the body to clean up the frame, replace all the body mounts, fix the sending unit in the gas tank and install the lift while im fixing the body

Looks like you've got a hell of a project ahead of you brother, good luck to ya!

Oh and I have to thank you, I've been contemplating how to get the body off my '79 without a lift and you've just solved my problem. :beer

plans are 38's and i might have already scored a set!

hey any time we got the body unbolted and used a bottle jack and a bumper jack to lift the body enough to slide the 4x4s through then to jack up the 4x4s and put sawhorse style legs under it where i can roll the frame out .

Wow looks good! Sure beats the method I used.. that is get 15 guys together (very hard where I live) and walk thebody off. I would have preferred to have the body up on stands to work on it.

I'll be watching your build. :thumbup
