Hey everyone.
New to the forum and just looking around to see what it looks like in here.
Just got my first Bronco a few days ago.
It's a '94 XLT white with tan interior, 5.0 and automatic.
Had to drag it out of a pine thicket where it has lived for four years.
Now to clean her up and get it going.
First up is fuel tank. Gas in the tank smells like turpentine and a sticky smelly spot on the skid plate. Leak maybe?
So I guess first order of business is to drop the tank and see what's up?
Any other ideas?
Will post pic as she looks now in a day or so.
Thanks for having me.

Yo Bob,
Welcome!
Yes, drop tank because skid plate usually is target for gas leaks. Flush line from tank to filter. Replace fuel filter.

Find out if speed control, if equipped, recall work completed by a dealership. Call local dealer or register and view status @ https://owner.ford.com; or @ Recalls Look-up by VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) ... have VIN ready.
"Summary: ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS, PASSENGER VEHICLES, SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, AND MOTOR HOMES CHASSIS, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, LEAK INTERNALLY AND THEN OVERHEAT, SMOKE, OR BURN. THIS COULD RESULT IN AN UNDERHOOD FIRE."

note that the 93 recall is different than 94-96
