Hey guys, I am about to start a revival project of a 95 Bronco with a 5.0. It was parked about 5 years ago and has been neglected in the corner of the yard since. Other than draining/replacing the gas, changing the fuel filter, engine fluids, spark plugs and wires, and assuming I can turn the crank shaft pulley, what initial measures should be taken to start an engine sitting this long? Is there a good way to pre-lube it?

Pull the distributor and prime the oil pump.

No need to buy anything if you have a 1/4” socket on an extension (I think 1/4, the 351 uses 5/16). Make sure to tape the socket to the extension so it doesn’t fall off in the oil pan. Run your drill in reverse.
