Thanks @miesk5! No that pic is from when I picked it up in Oakland yesterday! Just drove it back to PDX. I had it re-painted before I picked it up and had the headliner, carpeting replaced and re-upholstered the seats in tan leather! Here's a pic! I think the engine is on it's way out, ~400K miles, speedometer stopped working on the drive, heat and a/c need fixing. Going to take it in Monday to get engine checked out, heater and speedo fixed.

Thanks for the forum advice and the docs - That's huge! Can't wait to get started on this to make it my daily driver.

Yo Aaron,
If no mechanic recommendations
Member dash_cam offers very good advice on having an independent inspection done at sellers location! If you cant inspect it yourself, post Location in the noobie section and ask members for their help or seek out an ASE certified shop in area to inspect it for you. ASE is National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, read about it @

ASE promotes excellence in vehicle repair, service and parts distribution. Over a quarter of a million individuals hold ASE certifications. ASE Certified professionals work in every part of the transportation industry.

Wow those seats and headliner turned out great. The blue paint is also very nice.

The headliner and paint came out perfect! What kind of killing ($$) is a paint job like that?
They guy I bought it from re-painted for me, no idea on cost. I bought it from him for for $13.5K. He told me he picked it up for ~$4.5K and it was in rough shape. He repainted it and put new tires on it. I asked him to re-upholster the seats in leather, put new hi-pile carpet and replace the headliner. My guess he spent about $8k on all that, and made ~$1k profit.
