hello all this is my first post on this forum, and i must this this site is awesome...

ok now to the point, I have a f-100 that has a 360 in it and a 4 speed tranny with a granny gear.

will The motor and tranny be a direct swap to a bronco?

And can someone give me some information on the motor and tranny...

Thanks,
Zach

You didnt mention whether the F100 is 4wd, if not then no it wont be a direct swap. I think you can get an FE in the engine bay of a bronk, probably just have to use F150 mounts, but the Engine and trans must go together in that case. FE, M and 460, and Windsor are each different bellhousings.

You also didn't mention what year the Bronco is. If it's a 78/79 model it will be easier, but unless you're good at fabricating and figuring out things, the swap is not cheap.

If it's a 78/79 model Bronco, check out www.ProjectBronco.com, they have a forum dedicated to those running the FEs.

And welcome GA boy, to FSB. :thumbup

A friend of mine has a 79 bronco with a 390 and a 4spd in it. Don't do it. He likes it ok but routine maintenance can be a pain. Like replacing a starter. Just find a 351M or 400 with a 4spd already behind it. You'll be happier.
