hmmm - the guy in the white T-shirt is George Barris, who was born in Chicago and moved to California when he was three (1928). No record of him being in a New York State trailer park in 1957. His brother moved to California with him and was a year older. Somehow I don't see George Barris proudly resting on a clapped out '49 Ford.
I vote that the two gentlemen are NOT related.

Yes, I figured the "Barris Body filler" and the "Barris T-shirt" would have been a dead give away. :p

Back in the day , George was the man.

Barris sure built some wild stuff. Some were big in 60s tv.

These 2 were 289s. The big one is built from multiple model Ts.

Based on a Lincoln "Futura" concept car.

And then there was that Bronco...

Watch this guy tear through the field from the back of the pack in a dinosaur! Pure 427 sideoiler power at it's finest, screaming past Porsches at 7,000 rpm's, singing all the way...makes me wish I didn't sell my last two 427's a few weeks ago.

More 427 action, this one starts a little slow because of the pace car lap, but watch the rear view mirror once the hammer drops @ 4:34... the Corvettes disappear and that damn glovebox just hates the torque of that sideoiler....

This Holman Moody "FE" 427 Mustang scores Pole Position and wins Race at Portland Historic Races Corvette Anniversary...talk about pissing vette owners off, lol'

It's kind of comical watching the extremely rare (only one of 3 built) 427 aluminum block 500 hp ZL-1 Vette nipping at it's ankles like a pesky chihuahua until the Holman & Moody Stang hits the straight and starts shifting that close-ratio Toploader at 7k+!

Yeah, I miss my '65 Twilight Turquoise, white interior, 390 Cu. In., 4 speed, Galaxie 500 XL. Now I'm going to start looking for the pictures. I sold that beautiful car in 1971. I miss rowing that top loader up and down Telegraph Rd. at 2:00 AM, then being at work at 7:00. Even though it's been 50 years.
Thanks
