Just about the last thing keepin the 302 in the truck. Is the only way to get the two fuel lines disconnected at the rail the special tool that my manual talks about?

Correct.

They are cheap and easy to get at any parts store.

Damn I should have looked at the manual more. Thats for your style. I have a different set-up on my 86 f-150.


Gack on your 86 you didn't use those kind did ya? Oh well picked up the other kind today. My 6 inch was also delivered so friday it will go in!

I use wrenches on mine... then again it's all AN fittings :toothless

once you spend a little time with EFI, you will never want to touch one of those carbs again.

I know I could not be happier about my EFI swap

I'm sure it will get easier, but going from pulling the 255 in my 70 f-100 to pulling the 302 in my 86 is night and day.
