I went to the junkyard and purchased a gauge cluster with a tachometer in it to prepare for my manual transmission swap. I opened up both clusters, cleaned them, and installed my speedo/ odo unit into the junkyard housing with the tach. Upon start up the tach seems to work but the check engine light just blinks, the volt meter needle doesn't work, and the engine temp needle may not work either. Any advice on trouble shooting these would be much appreciated. It's a 92-96 cluster

Yeah sorry bud, those won’t jive. They have different circuit films on the back. I wouldn’t run it with that cluster in there - I’ve heard stories of electrical fires - don’t know if it’s true, but I wouldn’t risk it.
