Ok, I've tried the search for the last hour and haven't come up with anything difinitive. I'm having problems with my speedometer and tach. They just won't work. As far as the tach I've read stuff about checking the TFI module and other things, but where is the best place to start? And the speedo? The speedometer cable is in two pieces with a controller for the old cruise controll in between. Whats the best way to check this piece to see if it's the problem?

fuses are good last I checked, but I'll check again. It never hurts anything....

As far as the spedo goes, you can pull out the instrument cluster, pull the cable from the back of it and drive down the road to see it it goes roundy round. If it does then it's a bad gauge, or go the opposite route, pull the cable off the tranny/transfer, hook it up to your drill, have someone inside watching the spedo and se if it goes up when you spin up the drill. You may have to try both ways fwd and reverse with the drill.
From there if it no worky then ya just gotta check each cable.
