I bought a 77 f-150 about a month ago and it has the straight six in it. What can I do to get some more power out of it? What kind of add ons can I get?

How would getting the Offenhauser intake affect the engine performance wise if you also put on a 4 barrel carb?

I noticed a decent increase in power when I installed the offie intake and holley 4 barrel on the 300 in my f350. I also installed a set of headers when I did the intake and carb though.

Bottom line is that you are not going to have a speed demon by any means, but the engine will never leave you stranded.

With the money you would put out to get the i6 to make any great power change you could just do the 460 swap.
