Sorry I've been mia for awhile.
Working for a living.
My bronco has been sitting with bald tires, no insurance and out of date sticker since October. I finally got new insurance and can afford tires. I have a set of Toyo open country at3 ordered at discount tire. Should be here Thursday. I'd like to paint the wheels before but don't think I'll get the chance. I really need new center caps.
As soon as the tires are on, I'll get it inspected and registered. $900 for the tires, $7 for inspection and $87 for registration.

I'll probably do the same. But they need a good cleaning and maybe media blasting. Original 15x8
My trim rings were stolen off it years ago and I only have three of the center caps left. I want to paint the wheels a dark grey like gunmetal or graphite with chrome center caps and no trim rings.

Road grim and brake dust vs rust and old peeling paint. First one is a good cleaner, other is wire brush or media blasting

Thanks. I will zep first then acrysol and see what they look like. I think I sprayed them with argent paint years ago. But that may be gone after all the sugar sand I drive thru. I had an 81' xlt that had the same style wheel but they were chrome or at least looked it when I got the truck I tried to polish them only to realize theses were painted.

Now that the tires are the size it came from the factory with, I wonder if the speedo will finally be accurate 😉

Hey that's what I'm going to do. Paint them a dark grey like gunmetal or graphite. New chrome center caps but no trim rings .
You can see the body damage on that side. Big buck rammed me then bounced off the fender and door.
I'm going to get a new fender and door then paint the whole truck gloss black. Matt black on the fiberglass. No more of the Eddie Bauer tan stripe.
Getting rid of those ugly ass bumpers too.
This of course is pending getting my new place.

You can repair that door and fender with some body hammers and weld on stud puller. Also checkout speedokote they make a nice jet black base coat you can clear coat. Consider repainting the oem tan base coat to retain the value of the eddie bauer model. It wont cost much to buy the tan base.

No thanks, Their to messed up. I can get some used ones.
I'm going to use Eastwood paint and I dislike the tan accents and roof. This isn't going to be an Eddie anymore. I'm never going to sell it. I'm making it my own. It's a broncstang

That's neat, I was going to just use tape and paper.
Of course I don't have any cards.
