Well got a later start then we wanted to. Had to go to Wilson Lumber to get some sheet metal (I didnt realize a lumber store sold metal), Orielly's for some stuff, and Harbor Freight for a ton of shit. By the time we did that, got some food, stopped by his dad's house for the compressor it was already 1, so late start. about 4 hours of work and we got a lot done actually. It is almost ready for the bedliner.
the 4" rough country lift with new springs came in on Wed. we ordered it Saturday. fast shipping like when i ordered mine.
yes the jackstand that we smashed with my bronco is still in the yard :brownbag
being an Alabama truck, rust usually aint a big problem, but the 84 has a bit. this is the worst spot
this is all just surface...no holes
thats all for rust really. not bad. we got some metal to weld up and patch it. 20"x50ft roll of it cause that was all they sold...30 bucks not bad for galvanized.
in true ******* fashion...got a back seat for a lawn chair now
Chris working on the pass seat...notice panels are out too. top will probably come off to make more room to work
now after taking out the back two bolts for him, taking the above pic, and smoking a cigarette, i got the drivers seat out and he is still on the one bolt...
all the seats, internal tire carrier, side panels, botom parts of the seat belts, and crappy ass broke spearker are out
me going at the rust...nice little hole now. i more or less just cut it out
Chris going at the other side
this is how we left it
to finish getting ready for bedlining, need to do a bit more sanding, patch the hole, use some air to spray it out, probably use some mean green on some of that left over carpet glue (that shit is nasty), then vacuum it out and it will be ready.
but i think we got a lot done today. we got hung up on the rear seat bolt that holds the spring down on the right side...had to cut off the bolt head and drill it out. that took us about an hours worth of time...damn dull bits. cant hear much right now...didnt think about my ear defenders until after about an hour of sanding and grinding. but tomorrow is a new day so we should hopefully get a lot more done. maybe get it completely ready for spraying the liner in..especially since we will have a 3rd hand. Dana's best friend and her boyfriend will be here tonight. since they have a wedding shower to go to, we gotta keep her boyfriend company...putting his ass to work, since he is staying with us for free. :histerica
