I've been searching all afternoon for anyone who has had the same issue online.

I have a grant steering wheel and the installation kit all from summit.

I took my old steering wheel off and have been keeping true to the instructions.

Once I install the wheel and try to turn the wheel, I hear a bit of grinding, uninstall and see that the hub that you have to place on top of the turn signal switch on the column has rubbed against it.

Is there anyone who has had a similar issue? I'm just not sure how to make this work out.

I can provide pictures if needed.

Thank you,
Joe

Update:
I was able to put the sleeve in, then the spring, then the hub. After that install the adapter and the wheel.

Works perfectly now...

well except that the horn isn't working...but I'll do a separate fix for that...I'm just happy that I can steer. :)

When I put in my Grant, the only issue I had was the copper contacts squeaking against the horn plate when I turned the wheel. On trails, sounded like a mouse was getting raped.

I fixed it with a quick blast of silicon lubricant.
