Im sure most of yall are getting tired of short specific posts but hey it could help out people who has similar questions. I know you need to replace the harmonic balancer. I went to good ole summit racing and there is a oem replacement for 70 bucks. Then the next cheapest is like 360 dollars! For just a very mild 393 stroker is the oem ok?

Just use a factory (Motorcraft if possible) replacement. Racing parts SUCK, and you only need an SFI-approved damper for high-power, high-speed applications. The motors in these trucks are neither.

It may depend on the crank you end up with. IIRC, in my brief 393 research there were externally as well as internally balanced setups.
