I bought the headers from a Ford Motorsport dealer in Texas. The headers are made by Mac Performance and are a direct bolt on. They bolt on direct to the factory "Y" pipe and all.

I have them fitted on there and really got them on without any real problems. One thing though, you have to remove some of the emissions stuff on the passenger side.

No, not permanatly, in the kit they have brackets to remount the emissions stuff. well, it's the air bypass valve and hoses. as for the spark plug and wire clearance....beautiful! No problem at all.

Sounds good.:thumbup

Let us know if you do or dont have any problems with leaks down the road.

As far as doing what they say, they will help some. But the real restriction in the exhaust is the factory cats, "Y" pipe, and the small exhaust port on the heads.

*CLEAR!* *REVIVED*

I just started getting a lot of money because graduation is coming up. Im definetely looking at getting these MAC headers. Just wondering how they still are doin for you. Also, did they come with gaskets and if so did they hold up well? Or should i go the popular route and get the Mr Gasket?

My ford racing ones were about $275, you can't really tell that I have them on there until I hit about 3000 rpm on the highway, it feels like some turned on the turbo drive or something even in OD. I plan on doing something about those cats and that y-pipe soon.

I was about to put heat wrap on mine when an exhaust guy strongly encouraged me not to. It seems as the heating/cooling effect can/will cause rust prematurely. After reading the part about 'using this heat wrap will void the header manufacturers warranty' I figured I would figure something else out to keep things cool. So I'm thinking hoodscoop or louvering the hood.
