I know this isnt a bronco, but the same thing could be done.

These lights feature a replacable bulb like newer rigs have

Looks pretty good in there...you could stop here, they plug into the stock wiring...But I also wanted to run it thru a relay.

So we pulled out the headlight harness to redo some of it...I am actually removing the inner headights on the fairlane, as the outers now have hi-lo

Hella makes a real cool double relay, we ran Hi on one side, Lo on the other

What do you think?

nice deal. you know i always envy the guys with garages. i think all i really need is the concrete floor. nobody ever has any room in the garage in their pics it seems.

yea, i bought a set of the square ones out of jc whitney, then i bought 55w low beam, and 100 or 110w high beams...not dot approved but they sure do light the road up...it seams like people turn their brights off sooner when they are coming towards me at night :)

As an alternative, within the Z car community (www.zcar.com), a guy known as H4Lights has a very good reputation when it comes to replacement lights.. ECodes and so forth. He's also the guy I got my 200mm ECEs from several years back. Not much of a website (never has been one), but hes a good guy nonetheless. :thumbup http://www.h4lights.com

I recommend wet sanding the outside of the headlight housings with 800 grit wet/dry all the way through 2000 grit & then hit it with a compound or polish.. you will get much faster results....If anybody wants to give it a try I have plenty of wet/dry paper to give you a couple sheets of each grit sequence to get you hooked up..... I work for a abrasive manufacturer..Hook me up with postage and I'll send you some 9x11's out...... :thumbup .. try this sequence.. 800,1000,1200,1500,2000 then polishing compound on a small buffer with a sponge type pad. terry pads will not work well for polishing

By the way.. I had an 7" round H4 conversion on my miata..they looked exact same as ones on the H4 website.. made by OTTO.. and the back of the housing is plastic... it came with the housings/bulbs/dustboot... the higher wattage bulbs melted the dust boot to the housing and when I changed bulbs it tore the dust boot to hell and rendered the housings useless because of moisture entering the housing..clouding/dirt.. So I ended up just buying 6024 Silverstars and they work great... I imagine the square type H4 conversions would be the same.. the dust boot is just too damn cheap...
