I'm embarrased to post this but need some wisdom, the wisdom I should have sought earlier BEFORE I tried to drill through my top to mount my Yakima brand "kwik rails" in order to secure Yakima crossbars with raingutter attachments."

I have done this on 2 previos Broncos, but not a '95, so I am hitting some hard as heck metal and can't drill through (dang...what an idiot I know).

Any tips or recommendations, do I just need a different drill bit and higher speed drill to finish the job?

Here is a photo with RED dots marking the spot where I am attempting to drill.

When I drilled holes for my roof rack I punched through with a small bit and worked my way up to the size I needed. Went through the metal no problem.

well I am happy to say I went with a higher speed (electric not cordless) drill and got the job done! That additional metal in the '93 and up models is a little more work!
