Hi all.....We are restoring a '91 Bronco. It's getting pretty cherry but one thing remains to fix are the intermittent wipers. The wipers work fine on regular low and fast speeds. They also operate on the intermittent setting but with no "intermittent". I've been reading some of the posts and trying to figure out the most common problems for this issue. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be the switch or relay and where is the relay located? What is a WCM?

Sounds like you're going to need to replace the Wiper Switch. THere's one at http://www.autopartsdeal.com/Parts_List/wiper_switch/ford/bronco/ for $48.00. YOu may be able to find it cheaper searching around... make sure you buy the one w/ intermittent. They have switches w/ out it.

Iggie the Wiper Control Module (WCM) bec. it used used in 92-96
Unless Ford did a late MY change in 91.

Your 91 will have an Interval Governor


"To bypass a pre-'92 interval wipers, unplug the dash harness from the interval governor and plug it into a standard switch. With the key in run, all wiper functions should work normally"
