So, kindve like gacks poll, i guess im looking more for guidance than an actual decision.
My setup is much more conventional than gacks, single pipe, currently 2.5 into 3" maremont pipe, hopefully going to change that to 3" to 3".
anyways, i definetly dont want a flowmaster. I mocked the complete exhaust up, once with a glasspack and once straight piped, and both times the amount of resonance, just sitting in my driveway at idle, was nearly unbearable. I have no cats on the system, so its got some volume to it.
As such it obviously wouldnt make sense to use a flowmaster, so that ever popular option is off the list. To narrow it down a bit more, ive looked through summit and found a lot of attractive (looking) options, for $50 and less. The prices range from $21-$45. As you can tell, im doing this on the cheap (have $30 into my exhaust so far and want to keep it under $100 including hanging it).
Right now im leaning towards a turbo style muffler to try and deaden the sound. In the price range i am looking at here is what i found that seemed most intrigueing:
Summit Turbo, $21.99

Dynomax Thrush, $29.95

Flowtech Raptor (turbo), $35.00

Force Automotive (chambered), $35.95, (thinking it would probably be too much like a flowmaster)
http://store.summitracing.com/partd...906131+4294791976+4294906122+115&autoview=sku
Flowtech Afterburner, $44.00 (chambered, but claims right in the desc. to not have resonance problems)

So thats the five that i could find on summit, they seem to cover the general range of what you would normally want. Like i said, i need to do my best to avoid resonance... my truck has no sound deadening in it, so it can be a problem (also has a cut out in the bed for the fuel pump).
Anyone with any experiences with any of the above, please chime in and give me your impressions of the product. I will probably end up getting the cheap summit turbo if no one has any reasons not to, but right now i am not quite ready to drop the hammer and do it.
