I picked up a used 460 today and was wondering if anyone could help me decipher the engine code.
On the intake the is D6VE-9425-A3A.
On the sticker on the valve cover D7VE-9C485-FA.
That mean anything to you guys???

the first 2 digits are the date code
D6 = 1996
D7 = 1997

I can look up computer stuff if you got the computer, but a 96/97 computer isn't going to be very usefull unless you got a 96 Bronco

It was from a mid seventies truck.
