what do i have to do to convert my 78 351 from mechanical fuel pump to inline electric, i figure i will need a regulater for the fuel pressure and it looks like i just have to put a plate with a gasket to close up the hole in the side off the block were the mechanical pump will come off.
is there anybody suppling a conversion kit or is there any recomendations.
the motor was built up to a 400 and has a performer intake manifold and a 650cfm carb accompenied by a mild cam.thanx

You will need a fuel pump similar to this Holley red pump. I would not recommend this pump because it sucks but you need something similar. It produces the correct fuel pressure for a carb (around 6 psi) so no need for a regulator. Mount it as close to the tank as possible and take out you mechanical pump. You will have to replumb from the old fuel pump to the carb.
