Much as I hated to watch it again, I had to, in order to confirm my suspicions. That was no motorcyclist. Like Memphisrain suggests it was a Vespa type scooter and the idiot cut across right in front of the truck.

Doesn't look like the driver had a chance to stop, if he even saw him.

It's all over but the lawsuit now

Yeah I gotta agree. I watched it again just to make sure, but that truck ran him down. He may have changed position in the lane, which is perfectly fine. (well, at least here, I'm not sure where this was shot) However, I'm not sure what is more disturbing, the guy getting squashed, or the fact that the other motorists just keep on going without stopping to help or act as a witness when the cops come.

Videos like this make me wondering about my decision to keep riding. I love it and I do think bikes are safe, but is just the other drivers out there that are scary. Either way I try and stay away from traffic situations like in this video as much as possible.

Hey at least the guy was wearing a helmet!!!
