So here's the hood scoop i made for my scout a few years ago.. well i'm driving the scout again now and i've decided that it's time to do some body work, and paint (just white again, maybe flat black. i'll be doing it myself and i don't expect perfection) anyway, the hood scoop is in question. i can't decided weither it looks good or bad. so i guess my options are to build a new hood scoop, just patch the hole, or leave it alone and repaint... here's some pics

one thing i do like about it (which you can't really see in the pics) is that with the carb spacer i have, the air filter sits up into the scoop a little which i think looks cool from the front.

Get a nicer one from Jegs or even ebay.

Trim the scoop down so it is not as tall. Put some steel mesh in the hole. Paint the scout white, but paint the hood flat black in the middle to the body line, where it drops down.
