Hey everyone, i have an 84 bronco, and i snapped the parking pin while decending a steep hill in reverse....don't ask.

Anyways i have an extra tranny and i was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to swap parking pins?

Thanks
Andy

Its a pawl and I'm sure you can, but how hard it would be, I don't know. If you have another transmission, it would probably be easier, but again, never done it, so I dont know..

Also, everyone loves stories, please do tell!

Isn't the pawl buried deep in the trans?
I think it would probably be easier to fix the parking brake cables than to worry about it (who still has working ones anyways? ;) ).

mine are bradny newy
and yes most parking pawls are close to the tailhousing of the trans
would not be a very easy thing to get to.
