dont need to, mines adjusted almost perfectly so I can start her up and get going instantly LOL

I ask because my trucks have alot of miles on them so i use 15/50 synthetic in them, i get pressure quick but i dont wanna push the engine til the oil travels around easily...... then i give it hell-

whats the difference between just running it from start and letting the high idle drop?

spiked, i think the time spent equates to warmer oil. even though the engine is running yer not loading the parts with throddle usage-

About 5 minutes or however long it takes to thaw the windows. In the summer I just start them up and go. The nice thing about living on the top of a hill is I don't even have to touch the gas pedel for my first 4 miles of driving. All I gotta do is idle them off to a slow roll and the engine can get up to operating temp as I'm rolling towards town.

I go for about 3 to 5 minutes also to let my heater kick in winter trail rides suck in the cold.....
Also no tail gate window help making it colder...:banghead

3-5 or untill it will want to idle without any help
