I just installed a new tranny (I have another thread going about the noise it's making) and I think I'm not getting the linkage adjusted correctly. I followed the Haynes procedure, but I still have the feeling that it's not quite right. Anyone have any suggestions or alternate procedures?

Are you talking the linkage that changes gear selections or do you mean TV cable adjustment?
The linkage to change gears. I've got the TV one ironed out, I think.

What's the "feeling"??? If it changes thru all the gears, it's right. The only other adjustment is the indicator in the cluster.
My other thread explains the problem:

I think it is adjusted correctly after all. I think there's a more serious problem. I was hoping that it just wasn't going into the detents all the way, causing some kind of mischief.
