well to start off i dont have any carnage pics yet, have to charge diggie up first,

ok my saterday started like this, went to work saturday morn, got off about noonish, came home , wife went to firestone to get her van alinement after having new struts and a new(used) spindle on left side, she told service manager to re check the strut bolts that hold strut to spindle, tie rod castle nut and ball joint bolts fot proper tightness and grease front end, spent 3 hrs there just waiting to get it in( oh by the way its a 93 olds sillotte) went to applebee for dinner, then out to the bar for some cold coorslights, well the van had a vibration at 50-70mph, figure it was the broken belts in steer tires,(she diddnt get them replaced yesterday) so after a few corrslights and a couple of shots, left there to go to another bar,(she dont drink so i dont have to drive) well vibration got worse so i said i would drive, well about 10 miles down the road i heard a loud bang and pulled over, well thats when i saw the left front wheel fall on the ground, (wtf?) got out and found only 2 wheel studs left and 3 broken studs, so now i`m pissed at firestone, called triple a for some road side assistment, well that conversation lasted 20 minutes with my wife on the phone b4 i took over, ended up talking to some asshat in south central florida, WTF? why am i talking to him when i am in ohio? well he can find hubberd ohio and liberty street in hubbard but cant fint liberty ohio, so i dail 911 tell them where i am and ask for a wrecker and a state trooper, well 15 mins. go by and no one around, wtf?call 911 again and says some one is in route ok i say, well 15mins latter state tropper shows up, he talks to me makes sure we are all ok and calls for a wrecker, well 15-20 mins latter wrecker shows up and drags us home,

so 2day i head up to firestones with my wife and talk to the mananger on duty, tell him my wife asked for things to be done and yesterdays mananger hand written them on the work order, well i tell 2days mananger what happened last night and ask him what he is going to do to make it right? he says they will take care of it, so tommorow i have to miss work to b at firestone at 7:00 am (i`ll b there b4 that) have firestone tow the van in replace the wheel hub and whell studs and lug nuts, replace the rim pay for the body damage where tire hit the fender and cracked it pay for the $83.00 tow bill last night and see if he is going to pay for me missing work,

well that was how my night went and it is only going to get worse for them but better for me..
so if any one goes to firestone make sure you check your lugnuts :twak

IMO, bringing your vehicle to firestone is equivalent to putting your penis in a blender. Dont do it.

Hope all gets settled for you, in the end you will still be out money and time.

Wow. Your night sucked. Last night I had dinner with two beautiful women who love me (and no, one of them was not my daughter). My night rocked. It sounds a lot better than having a wheel fall off the van....

I went to Firestone once. Had a set of recalled Firestone 500 tires to replace in 1979. The $1,500 (in '79 mind you) paint job was so fresh it was still curing. They put the hoist stands in the middle o big block Ford, lifted it up then opened the driver's door. Bent the door and fender.

Guy initially shrugged his shoulder and says "Gee, that happens sometime with these big cars."

Lost my mind on the spot. Took six months and several lawyer's depositions 'n' such to get the car repaired.

Good damn luck.............................

The Firestone by my parents is pretty good, the use him all the time and never have a problem.

Good thing the cops didnt give you a hard time for being half in the wrapper either. that would have sucked.

well- goign to firestone can be an ok experience- i know a guy that worked there for a while.
so REALLY- either way- going there is like putting your penis in a blender. BUT, its wether firestone plugs that blender in or not that makes the difference...
