i am replacing the stock authubs with Warn prem manny. when i disengage 4wd now, i have to back truck up...Is this to disengage the autohubs? Seems like a dumb question, but i never had an electric transfer case and auto hubs before.:scratchhe

if they were not locked up or broken then yes the change direction would unlock the auto hubs....mike

OK thanks this is what i thought, wanted to be sure. so with the manual hubs once i unlock them that is it? no need to back up for the electric transfer case?

once you unlock the mannys, thats it, you dont have to backup. i hate backing up to unlock the autos.

Once you unlock them and begin to drive forward, they may still be locked for like a half revolution of the tire or so. But no you don't have to back up. The electric transfer case is disengaged once you push the button.
