I got an unknown year D44 TTB for a swap and Just had a couple questions.

Does the hub color designate anything or is it a year thing?

I've heard that the red dialed ones are the basic Ford hubs. the white are the premium Ford Hub. Any truth to that?

The one I got has the White dialed hubs. Eventually they will get replaced with Warn Premiums when the whities blow out on me. I'm a cheap bastard. so these are staying for the time being.

Looks like a normal 1/2 ton internal locking hub like you would see on any 1/2 ton axle.

You sure the dial is white and not really, really faded pink?
That is the same thing I thought.

Scratch it hard with a flathead screwdriver, I bet it's pink underneath. :toothless

Either way, those are just ordinary 1/2 ton internal locking hubs.
