Shoot for a '96
My BroncoSpeeder is '96 with a 302 and E4OD. Couldn't be happier. I like the OBD II, as it allows a larger ranger of engine mods without CELs.
With my '96, I took a "Stage" approach, with Stage 1 starting with a safety cage, an
Autofab Long Travel TTB suspension system (using the dual 2.5" RaceRunners in F and singles in the back), 35" Goodyears on stock 10-hole Ford aluminum wheels, no glass, Mastercraft seats, Hellas, and custom built F&R pre-runner bumpers. I like it so much, that I may never get to Stage 2.
My 2009-2010 build thread here is called

These guys here taught me a LOT about doing my build correctly. Just start with a
safety cage, and go from there. They are great folks. Good luck...
