I am in need of new shocks for my front. I want the 5160 series with the remote mount res i have a 4" lift now but am looking to go to a 5.5" later when i get my c&t's. Is there a 5160 that will work for me now or and later, or should i throw some cheap ones on for now n drop the coin later?

I would reccomend calling the shock manufacturer directly.

Are you looking to get max travel out of it, or is it a grocery getter? That will make a big difference on what you get or what you plan for.

Id like a good amount of travle. Ive bin looking at specs online but the numbers confuse me a bit as far as compresed and extended. If i get the 6" lift ones now i dont want to bottom them out with the 4" and throw all that money away.

Are you mounting them in the stock location on the coil bucket? If so, then you will not be able to use the wheel travel you have already (bump or droop) Believe the guy that has 5100's limiting his travel #'s right now. :toothless

Ive sean where ppl cut out the stock mount and move it up. I could easily fab something up to get travel numbers. The 5160 are eye to eye istead of stud eye correct?

the 5160 shocks arent a necesity, I run 5100s all over the mohave desert and dont have any fading issues.
