I got a 1995, 5.0, 5 speed. Just recently My truck would start Idling real fast when I stop, and stays revd up when I shift gears. I've been told it could be the temperature sensor. But their not sure about the throttle pos sensor because its a standard not an auto.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

wow a 3 post op, and the answerer was doing so with his first post. bizzare

i agree through, check you're throttle linkage and cable. make sure the throttle feels easy and smooth too. also check (and maybe clean) you're IAC (idle air valve). then check throttle position sensor. is it throwing any codes (check engine light)?

oh, and take a look for vacuum leaks as well.
