Couldn’t resist could ya? Not bronco related but a good friend of mine needed some help with getting two kayaks on his 20/20 TacoMa. Learned something new on that thing, the whole bed except the side skins be plastic?! WTF? This will be good practice for my upcoming external cage on my FSB. I wanted to put another angle on the top corners to better match the cab but he wanted it out a little still got some fab and a lot of burning to do but here’s the progress made so far.

If I understand that right, the bed is plastic??? That’s not just a drop in plastic liner???

@NickOille That is 100% correct, the beds entire interior is plastic, you get under it and look up your looking at plastic, the only metal body parts of the bed are the side skins and the tailgate. It’s rather thick but still?
Thanks @mattmann, “it looks perfect from a far, but it’s far from looking perfect“ my grandpa used to always say that line. My welds aren’t as pretty as professional welding ones get, but they penetrate and hold. Self taught, if I can do it anyone can.

@MojoJojo Looks good to me!
I’ve always wished I could weld. I’m going to eventually give it a try. Local colleges offer courses cheap.

I have a buddy with a ‘18 Taco.
You’d be surprised at the abuse that plastic can take. He’s a contractor and uses it for work.

Too bad Ford didn’t use it on our dashes!!!

BTW: What Yaks does he have? I’m guessing white water types? Around here we use touring, fishing and sit on tops.
