or anyone else who knows more than i do. I really admire your knowhow and writeups Sixliter, i've been looking at all the ignition upgrade ones. Anyways, all those writeups seem to be directed to EFI engines, i've got a carbed 351. Will the same basic coil, cap, rotor, wire, and plug gap mods work on that too? If that question is too stupid, what about bumping up the timing? Any differences with the carb over efi? What kind of mileage are you getting Sixliter?

well, i have a 351 carbed on my '86 f150. plugs, caps, wires, coils, etc. help improve gas mileage. by the time i was done i was doing about 17mpg, but of course i don't drive it hard. it was better than 9mpg when i first got it. everything mentioned were ford racing product except for the plugs which were BOSCH platinum 3's which didn't need gapping. i was also instructed to get the most out of it to tune the carb everyday according to the outside temp. i didn't know how to tune it so i left it alone.
