I have a 1975 F250 and am having problems with the dash lights. I pulled the instrument cluster and all the lights seem to be getting power but if I take a known good light and put it in one of the spots where the light isn't working it still doesn't work. I then noticed that all the black plugs have numbers on the back. Do certain numbers correspond to certain locations on the panel? If that is the case then i think mine might be all jumbled up. Any help is appreciated!

No, the sockets may not be getting a good connection to the printed circuit. Also the plastic backing that the light sockets plug into also corrodes.

Take the screws out and with the cluster plugged in, turn on the headlights and twist, wiggle the bulb sockets around and see if you can get them to flicker or come on.

Turned out that all the bulbs decided to burn out at the same time. Atleast it gave me an excuse to take the gauge cluster out and clean all the dust out of it.
