ive been creapin on fsb for a little while now, never introduced myself because i didnt have a bronco yet. i finally picked one up yesterday and figured id introduce my self.

i picked up a 1988 fsb 5.0 with a slipping transmission and few other little hiccups. its red with the awful blood red interior. and some god awful wheels that need to go right after i get the transmission replaced.


ive been doing some research on fsb and this site has really helped me out alot.

im uploading pictures from my phone. ill put it up when it loads.

yea i can allready tell its gonna be a money hole. but its better then financing some new pos and i allready love my bronco lol, gonna be nice when i can actually drive it.

Looks to be in real decent condition and I've seen worse for wheels on Broncos...lol lol.....but maybe you can sell them for a few dollars and get something decent you like.

As for your interior color, you are now an exclusive member of the "porno red velvet" interior club who meet secretly, never! ........:rofl:......lol lol

Find out what transmission you have by counting the bolt pattern on the fluid pan, they're all different but there's a chart for this on www.broncolinks.com and once you find out what you have, AOD (14 bolts) E4OD (?) or C series (?) you might be able to change the filter/gasket and fluid and see if the helps with the slippage AND also check to see if there is a TV Cable adjustment (You Tube video) or electric solenoid below that controls shifting and see if there's an adjustement or simple replacement.

lol "red velvet porno" i like that, i actualy call it blood bomb red, but hey.
it is in decent shape but the passenger side has alot of bondo that i didnt really notice at first, but it will all be covered with some vinyl. the seats that are in it are NOT the ones that are suppose to be in so im gonna have to get some new seats.

im actually thinking about rhino lining the interior panels to get rid of some of the red. as far as the transmission, i got under there and looked and im 99% sure i have an aod. theres some kind of electrical box on the driver side frame next to the tranny that is COVERED in oil and has some butt connectors that need to be removed and the wires repaired the proper way. if that doesnt fix it, im leaning towards transplanting a manual tranny in its place. but i still need to get some more info on that.
