So whats the damage to the heep? Did it hydrolock? Anything else besides the obvious water damage?

What's the story about how it ended up there?

Anywhoo...nice recovery pics :thumbup

Jeeps totalled. Silty water in EVERYTHING. We pulled the oil cap and you could stick your finger in there and touch oil/water. Total loss (2002 model). The story is a little shakey but basically the guy went out there... got stuck, left it to come back to get it. Comes back the next day and its not were it was stuck originally... so apparently it was recovered then stolen. The thiefs decided to try and go the rest of the way to the glacier, only to get it stuck where it sat, in Metal Creek..... yeah.... had keys in it and everything.... :scratchhe:rolleyes:

I see your from Wasilla- seems to be all over the news lately!
Yeah, reporters everywhere. Its funny, they hit up Fred Meyer for brand new Carharts to try and fit in so the locals will talk to them....

Looks famaliar...

Too bad the pictures are lost :duh
Metal creek is notorious for swallowing rigs up. There is still 2-3 riggs in there that are not really recoverable. A few years back a guy got a jeep stuck in the creek.... and it was so sketchy it made it onto Spikes (TV network) Craziest videos (Or something like that). Heres the link to the whole story...
