93 bronco Eddie bauer basket case build-
Bought in 2019 after sitting for 6-7 yrs
Over payed for a pile that sat on my side yard for 2 years…
Untill I had all the parts to assemble the sleeper bronco I was dreaming about, deaver q80 springs, cut and turned beams with uniball pivots and 1.25” heimed radius arms and pivot boxes
Add a couple of bucket seats and you have a “finished product” right!?
Like Johnny cash- this truck will be built 1 piece at a time-over a long period of time.

With all the parts sorted and built by me and my brother the install of all the parts took two days

Blasted and prepped the knuckles new moog ball joints and aircraft hardware

unfinished plate roof rack designed to be modular and expandable able to be packed and shipped in a 6” shipping tube

first trip out- suspension was a success…engine not so much, on the last day a crippling misfire developed. With three days of drive time I have some changes in mind already- rear ride height = trash, need to be lowered even with 200 plus pounds of gear in the back.
Shock package worked well but needs more dampening control for longer runs.

Rear suspension fix in progress- lowered front hanger (to be matched with a chassis notch and bump stop package)
New bolt together 12” shock mount that doubles as a sway bar pivot point

rear axle project- econoline 9” (widest factory 9” housing) bump pads

ISO- vss relocation kit used, cheap or ideas for making my own lol

topend reseal/head rebuild/de-smog
E7 heads resealed with quality parts and new manly valves removed umbrella seals and installed positive type valve seals
Ported heads- intake and exhaust runners with bowl work
Ported intake to gasket match head
Hi flow water pump
Gear drive timing set
And all new paint
Installed rear intake coolant crossover

I’m enjoying this bronco so much my f100 has taken a back seat to this project
between my brother and I we have 4 prerunner/race style trucks and keeping them fed is a full time job

rear bumper design I’m playing with, haven’t decided on rear fiberglass yet, depending on what glass I go with I won’t be able to use the factory tire swinger
So options are:
adv fiberglass and keep tire swinger and run with this bumper design
McNeil or fiberwerx move spare in the truck or incorporate a tire swinger into the rear bumper

$50 JBA headers that were pretty banged up repaired and replaced dented sections will cerakote when completed

Newer model y pipe with dual O2 sensors updated
with a 3” cat and mid pipe section

Thanks for the pointers on the spare @Desertdawg unfortunately no spare isn’t an option for me but storage is an absolute requirement because I hope to eventually use this bronco as a point to point Mexico rig and for other long run adventures… sounds like I need to make sure I save my factory tire swinger or build the bumper stout enough to manage the swing weight (this could get fun) lol

I just picked up some “VINTAGE” glassworks front fenders on Sunday haha looking for rear fiber glass still if anyone has a line on a set
