check your vac lines and check your fan and sure it turns freely. but more than likely it is a vac leak.

Do you got any air intake mods including a filter, intake tube, a throttle body or throttle body spacer? Those are all known to cause whistling.

My EGR Valve whistles sometimes......I just lubed the shaft and it slides smoothly now! :hump :hump

Pulled codes on the F350 yesterday--- seems that both left and right engine banks were running lean. Started her up and slowly started jiggling all the air/vac hoses. Sure as shhit, a bad 3/8" ninety degree hose to the pvc. Found a similar shaped hose at Kragens from the Help rack (part #46001) for $4.00 and customized it to fit. Big difference right there...........
