Never been to erie, and only been to pitt once. I have been to crawford state lake and bone creek lake in that area. Both are freaking awesome areas. You should head west, past yates center to Toronto. Theres 400 year old trees there and its always super peaceful. Except 4th of july when they have the Toronto days, complete with mud runs and a baby contest!

I too wanna get down to KS rocks. Show all them jeepers that a fullsize rubs both sides haha!

Sweet bronco btw!

Thank you sir! Yeah, Yates center isn't that far. I'm not familiar with Toronto, I will get out there and check it out! I need to do a little to mine before I get it in anything to hairy.

Toronto is like 20 minutes west of yates. Like a 5000 acre reservoir, and the best crappie fishing in KS. Manns cove is where i like to camp. Taking the highway west out of Yates center, about 15 miles is a south tirn to Toronto. On the corner is a convenience store/deli called lizard lips. Its a must stop place, with delicious biscuits and gravy in the mornings and malts. They have some supplies too. And i think they are selling gas again.

Lots of cool history down in those parts too. Lewis and Clarke traveled through there i believe.

If you want to get into off-roading, lockers (or limited slip up front) and lower gears are most beneficial. We have few rocks up here and a lot of mud, so i run superswampers. But even in the rocks of moab, the superswamper still shines. The radials are quiet on the street, and handle well with proper air pressure. I like the irok non-directional. In smaller sizes, swampers are not super expensive either.

Its a bit of a drive, but there are 6 u-pull style junkyards in KC. I make the 90 minute trek fairly often. They get a good number of 80-86 ford pickups in, if you ever need parts. And obviously there is a pick n pull in Joplin (or is it Springfield!?) And a u-pull in Wichita.

I think it is in springfield. Kc is only about 90 min from me too. I had kanati 33 10.50 mud hogs on my range rover and was pretty impressed with them. I plan to go to 4.11 gears, lsd front and rear, I'm going to get a 351 to put in while I build the original 302. I will probably make some bumpers. Nothing crazy, a driver/toy

4.10s and 33s are a great combo, especially with a c6 that has no OD. Ive run that combo on a few F250 and f350s.

Is the Toronto days a week long gig? We have "Bean Week" as the locals call it. That is the week after the 4th usually. I wouldn't mind a little cruise with the top off to go watch some mud runs.

Usually just a few days. Looks like it starts today and runs all weekend. Ive never been to it, but really want to some day.
