So ive done my hw and it seems like I may be sol. Someone sent me a link about knock sensors but the website was taken down. What have you guys done to replace a broken knock sensor? I know a yards an option but thats hoping theres a vehicle there with one and its an hour away. Seems like running no knock sensor may or may not throw a cel. So what is my best option here to correct the issue?

I don't run a knock sensor in my '91 (I have a car block and there is no provision for a knock sensor, it's a freeze plug in it's location)

You should be fine as my truck is not showing any codes related to the knock sensor.

On my 95 it did send a code on ko engine running. I think i bought mine at summit 2 years ago. I will say it's a day job. You need to remove the upper intake plenum. So you will need a new gasket for that also a torque 45 to get that dam torque bolt in the middle of the manifold (pain in the ass)I ended up buying a cheap torque set and crazy glue it on te bolt so next time all I have to do is stick a extention down to loosen the bolt

This is good to know Gene. I am hoping the older computers are more primitive and wont pick up on the false reading. Seems like there is not alot of info about it so thanks.

Aquaholic thanks for the info and thats a cool idea for the upper intake. Sadly summit no longer offers a ks for my bronco.

Can anyone confirm I am not crazy and that is the knock sensor in the picture I posted? Thanks
