im looking for a leaf spring that is just a little longer than a stock 79 bronco spring any ideas on what vehicle to look for

Go to the junk yard with a tape measure....:shrug

Hey, no need to send him on a wild goose chase. Tape measures can bend and not give you the most accurate reading on arched surfaces like a leaf spring. Get your self a piece of string (preferably orange in color) and stretch it along the junk yard leaf springs then measure the string. If I recall, your gonna want to look for a spring off of the rear of a mack truck.
