Hey guys I found some doors off a 1986 f-150 for my 88 bronco. Im having problems getting them to fit right. Ive tried adjusting the hinges with the door off and still can't get them to fit without rubbing on the fenders or being to far over to even shut. I was wondering if it would be easier to take the fenders off and get my doors lined up and then put the fenders back on? Any help would be great thanks. And if this was already a thread I'm sorry I tried searching in a few spots and couldn't find anything.

Look for Steve83, he has a tech section in his Supermotors.net gallery about how to align the doors. You can make adjustment to both the hinge mounting point on the body as well as the door iteself to get them to line up. I try to fit the gap next to the cab at the rear of the door first, then adjust top/ bottom, then finally the fenderr. Usually do not need to touch the fenders unless there has been a frontend impact large enough to move them back, JSM84
